Iain Duncan
Iain Duncan serves as the first Head Coach in over 17 years for the Fresno Falcons hockey, bringing decades of playing, coaching, and leadership experience to the Central Valley.

Duncan played four seasons at Bowling Green State University, where he helped the Falcons capture the 1984 NCAA Division I National Championship. During his senior season, he recorded 68 points in 39 games and earned First Team All-CCHA honors. He finished his collegiate career with 170 points in 161 games and was later selected to Bowling Green’s All-Century Team.
Selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, Duncan went on to play 127 regular-season games in the National Hockey League. He earned NHL All-Rookie Team honors during the 1987-88 season after recording 42 points in 62 games. His professional career also included time in the American Hockey League, International Hockey League, and ECHL.
Duncan became a prominent figure with the Toledo Storm, serving as team captain and helping lead the organization to consecutive Riley Cup championships in 1993 and 1994. His contributions to the franchise were later recognized with induction into the Toledo Hockey Hall of Fame.
Following his playing career, Duncan transitioned into coaching and player development. His experience includes serving as a player-coach with the Nashville Nighthawks and as Head Coach and General Manager of the Mentor Ice Breakers during their inaugural FPHL season.
With championship experience at the collegiate and professional levels, Duncan brings a proven understanding of leadership, accountability, and player development to Fresno. He will oversee the Falcons’ on-ice identity while helping build a competitive culture for the organization’s inaugural season.

Luke Curtin serves as an Assistant Coach for the Fresno Falcons, returning to a city where he established himself as one of the most accomplished and memorable players in franchise history.

An ECHL Hall of Famer, Curtin enjoyed a decorated professional playing career that included 577 points in 501 ECHL regular-season games. Known as one of the league’s premier playmakers, he earned First Team All-ECHL honors twice, appeared in five ECHL All-Star Games and was named Most Valuable Player of the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game in Fresno after scoring two goals in the National Conference’s victory.
Curtin spent three seasons with the Falcons from 2005 through 2008, recording 53 goals and 157 assists for 210 points in 179 regular-season games. His production, leadership and connection with the Fresno community made him a fan favorite and an important part of the organization’s history.
Before joining Fresno, Curtin helped lead the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies to the 2003 Kelly Cup championship. He was later selected to the ECHL All-Decade Team for 2000–2010 and inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame in 2011.
As an Assistant Coach, Curtin brings extensive professional experience, offensive knowledge and a championship background to the Falcons’ staff. Working alongside Head Coach Iain Duncan, he will help develop the team’s players while establishing a competitive and professional culture for the next generation of Fresno Falcons hockey.
