Fresno Falcons Sign Expansion Draft Selections Austin Albrecht and Dysen Skinner
FRESNO, Calif. — The Fresno Falcons have taken another major step toward building their inaugural Federal Prospects Hockey League roster, officially signing forward Austin Albrecht and goaltender Dysen Skinner for the 2026-27 season.
Both players were selected by Fresno during the 2026 FPHL Expansion Draft. Albrecht became the Falcons’ first-ever expansion draft selection when Fresno called his name with the fourth overall pick, while Skinner was added with the ninth overall selection.
The two signings provide Fresno with a proven offensive difference-maker and an accomplished young goaltender as the organization prepares to bring professional hockey back to Selland Arena.
ALBRECHT BRINGS ELITE PRODUCTION AND VETERAN EXPERIENCE
Albrecht joins the Falcons following a dominant season with the Monroe Moccasins. The Flemington, New Jersey native recorded 27 goals and 45 assists for 72 points in just 36 games during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging two points per game.
His season included an outstanding December in which he produced nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points over seven games, earning FPHL Player of the Month honors. Albrecht’s ability to create offense both as a scorer and a playmaker immediately gives Fresno a proven centerpiece around which to build its forward group.
Before joining the FPHL, the 6-foot forward established himself over parts of five seasons in the ECHL. Albrecht appeared in 119 regular-season games with Wichita, Indy, Maine and Tulsa, collecting 28 goals and 36 assists for 64 points.
During the 2024-25 season with the Tulsa Oilers, Albrecht recorded 14 goals and 12 assists in 38 games while serving as an alternate captain. He also helped Tulsa reach the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Albrecht has additional professional experience in the Southern Professional Hockey League, where he produced 26 points in 31 games between the Fayetteville Marksmen and Vermilion County Bobcats during the 2022-23 season.
Prior to turning professional, Albrecht played NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Massachusetts and American International College. He totaled 26 points across 61 collegiate games after developing at the junior level in both the United States Hockey League and North American Hockey League.
With his scoring ability, professional experience and leadership qualities, Albrecht gives the Falcons a player capable of contributing in every offensive situation.

Skinner arrives in Fresno with experience across the FPHL, SPHL and ECHL, along with a decorated collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
