FRESNO FALCONS SIGN DEFENSEMAN TREY DELOURY

6-foot-5 blueliner brings FPHL and SPHL experience to Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons have added another imposing presence to their blue line, signing defenseman Trey Deloury for the 2026-27 season.

The 26-year-old Andover, Massachusetts native stands 6-foot-5, weighs 190 pounds and shoots right. Deloury joins Fresno after completing his first professional season, splitting the 2025-26 campaign between the Danbury Hat Tricks of the FPHL and the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL.

Deloury began his professional career with Danbury and quickly established himself as a steady presence on the back end. In 21 games with the Hat Tricks, he recorded one goal and six assists for seven points while adding 45 penalty minutes and finishing with a plus-one rating.

During the season, Deloury also joined Roanoke and went on to appear in 26 SPHL games for the Rail Yard Dawgs, registering one goal, two assists and 54 penalty minutes. Between the two leagues, Deloury appeared in 47 professional games during his rookie season.

Before turning pro, Deloury spent four seasons at Post University, appearing in 91 collegiate games from 2021 through 2025. He totaled four goals and 25 assists for 29 points while developing into one of the program's most dependable defensemen. His leadership was recognized during his senior season when he served as team captain.

Deloury's value at Post went well beyond the scoresheet.

The defenseman finished his collegiate career with a program-record 127 blocked shots, surpassing the previous school record of 116. He also established Post's single-season record with 51 blocked shots during his senior year, a season in which he appeared in 26 games and added six assists.

His collegiate career included his best offensive season in 2022-23, when Deloury recorded three goals and six assists in 19 games. He also produced nine points as a freshman, finishing that season with one goal and eight assists in 27 appearances.

Prior to Post University, Deloury spent two seasons in the Eastern Hockey League, skating for the Valley Jr. Warriors and Connecticut RoughRiders. He finished his junior career with Connecticut in 2020-21, producing six goals and 12 assists in 35 games before making the jump to the college ranks.

Deloury now brings that combination of size, experience and defensive responsibility to Fresno as the Falcons continue building their roster ahead of training camp.

At 6-foot-5 with professional experience in both the FPHL and SPHL, Deloury gives Fresno another big body on the blue line who has shown a willingness to defend, block shots and play a physical style. His experience as a collegiate captain also adds another leadership presence to the Falcons locker room.

The Falcons open the 2026-27 season on Friday, October 9 at Selland Arena.
