The Fresno Falcons are bringing the Halloween spirit to Downtown Fresno this Friday, October 30, as the organization hosts its Halloween Spooktacular when the Oceanside Shock return to the Central Valley.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with fans invited to celebrate the Halloween season while enjoying another exciting night of professional hockey.
With Halloween just one day away, the Falcons are embracing the spooky season and inviting families, friends and hockey fans throughout the Central Valley to join the festivities at Selland Arena.
Whether sporting Falcons colors or getting into the Halloween spirit, fans can look forward to an evening combining the excitement of live hockey with a festive atmosphere.
A Familiar Foe Returns to Fresno
Friday's contest marks another meeting between two of the Federal Prospects Hockey League's newest California franchises.
Fresno and Oceanside opened their inaugural FPHL seasons against one another earlier this month, with the Falcons sweeping their first two meetings.
On October 9, Fresno made its long-awaited return to professional hockey in front of a record-setting crowd of 7,977 tickets sold, defeating the Shock 7-2 at Selland Arena.
The following evening, the Falcons traveled to Frontwave Arena in Oceanside and completed the weekend sweep with a 5-2 victory.
Now, the two clubs prepare to renew their growing California rivalry as Oceanside looks to reverse its fortunes and Fresno looks to maintain its early-season momentum.
Falcons Looking to Continue Their Hot Start
Fresno enters the Halloween matchup following an impressive 8-4 victory over the Stockton Thunder on October 24.
Forward Aaron Huffnagle delivered a historic performance against Stockton, recording the first hat trick of the Falcons' new era while helping propel Fresno to its fourth victory of the season.
Huffnagle currently leads the FPHL with 14 points through five games, recording seven goals and seven assists.
The Falcons have also received strong offensive contributions from Austin Albrecht, Houston Wilson and several other players during the opening weeks of the campaign.
With a 4-1-0 record, Fresno has established itself as an early contender in the FPHL's Frontier Division.
Friday presents another opportunity for the Falcons to build on that momentum in front of their home crowd.
Halloween Fun Meets Falcons Hockey
The Halloween Spooktacular continues the Falcons' commitment to creating memorable experiences for fans beyond the action on the ice.
Since returning to Selland Arena, the organization has welcomed thousands of fans through its doors while celebrating a variety of special events, including Pink at the Rink, Kris Porter's jersey retirement and Día de los Muertos Night.
Friday's Halloween celebration adds another festive occasion to the team's inaugural season.
For families looking to celebrate Halloween weekend, the evening offers an opportunity to enjoy professional hockey together while embracing the holiday spirit.
From the opening puck drop to the final horn, the Falcons will look to deliver plenty of thrills as they battle the Shock in another important Frontier Division matchup.
