Fresno Falcons Acquire Physical Defenseman Trey Deloury from Danbury

Towering former Post University captain adds size, toughness and SPHL experience to the Falcons’ blue line

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons have acquired defenseman Trey Deloury from the Danbury Hat Tricks in exchange for goaltender Connor McAnanama.

Deloury is a 6-foot-5, 190-pound right-shot defenseman who brings a physical, hard-nosed style of play to Fresno’s defensive corps. The Andover, Massachusetts native completed his first professional season in 2025-26, splitting time between the Danbury Hat Tricks of the FPHL and the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL.

The 26-year-old began the season with Danbury, recording one goal and six assists for seven points while adding 45 penalty minutes in 21 games. His performance earned him an opportunity with Roanoke, where he appeared in another 26 games and continued to establish himself as a physical presence on the blue line.

Across both leagues, Deloury played 47 professional games and accumulated 99 penalty minutes, demonstrating the toughness and willingness to engage physically that Fresno will look to add to its defensive identity.

Before turning professional, Deloury played four seasons at Post University, appearing in 91 collegiate games and recording four goals and 25 assists. He was also named team captain during his senior season, adding leadership experience to his size and physicality.

Deloury developed a reputation at the collegiate level as a dependable, defense-first blueliner. His reach, physical play and willingness to battle in difficult areas make him a challenging matchup for opposing forwards and a strong addition to Fresno’s defensive group.

As part of the trade, Danbury receives McAnanama, who was selected by Fresno during the 2026 FPHL Expansion Draft.

The addition of Deloury gives the Falcons another experienced and imposing defenseman as the organization continues building its roster ahead of its inaugural season.
