DOUBLE TROUBLE: HUGO KOCH AND PARKER MOSKAL DELIVER FIVE-POINT PERFORMANCES

Koch records hat trick while Falcons owner and CEO Moskal adds a goal and four assists in dominant 10-1 victory over Oceanside

FRESNO, Calif. — Halloween night delivered plenty of treats for the Fresno Falcons, but none bigger than the remarkable performances of Hugo Koch and Parker Moskal.

The duo combined for 10 points Saturday night, October 31, leading Fresno to a commanding 10-1 victory over the Oceanside Shock at Frontwave Arena and completing a two-game weekend sweep of their California rival.

Koch delivered his first hat trick of the season, finishing with three goals and two assists, while Moskal, the Falcons' owner and chief executive officer, made an extraordinary impact on the ice with one goal and four assists.

The two players were responsible for four of Fresno's 10 goals, with Moskal recording an assist on each of Koch's three tallies.

Their performances helped the Falcons improve to 6-1-0 on the season, continuing an impressive opening month in the organization's return to professional hockey.

Koch Steals the Show with Five-Point Performance

For Hugo Koch, Saturday night's contest represented a breakout offensive performance in an already exciting start to Fresno's inaugural FPHL season.

The Falcons forward showcased his scoring ability throughout the evening, capitalizing on opportunities as Fresno overwhelmed the Shock with 67 shots on goal.

Koch's first goal came at 12:06 of the opening period, restoring Fresno's lead just 1:39 after Oceanside had tied the contest. With assists from Austin Albrecht and Moskal, Koch put the Falcons back in front 2-1.

His second goal arrived at 16:09 of the middle frame, again set up by Moskal, extending Fresno's advantage to 5-1 during an explosive five-goal second period.

Koch wasn't finished.

With only 38 seconds remaining in regulation, Koch completed his hat trick at 19:22 of the third period, finding the back of the net for Fresno's 10th goal of the evening.

Once again, Moskal provided the assist.

In addition to his three goals, Koch contributed assists on Jagger Benson's second-period goal and Noah Finstrom's power-play tally later in the frame.

His five-point performance earned him First Star of the Game honors and highlighted his ability to contribute as both a scorer and playmaker.

From the Front Office to the Scoresheet: Moskal Delivers Five Points

While Koch's hat trick commanded attention, the performance of Parker Moskal added another memorable storyline to the Falcons' Halloween victory.

As the franchise's owner and chief executive officer, Moskal has played an instrumental role in bringing professional hockey back to Fresno and establishing the organization as part of the Federal Prospects Hockey League's West Coast expansion.

On Saturday night, however, Moskal made his presence felt in a different role: as a player.

Drawing on his professional playing background, Moskal demonstrated his offensive instincts and playmaking ability throughout the contest.

His evening began with an assist on Josh Colten's opening power-play goal at 8:51 of the first period. Moskal then helped set up Koch's first goal, giving him two assists before the opening intermission.

In the second period, Moskal became a goal scorer himself.

At 8:51 of the middle frame, he found the back of the net off assists from Carson Vance and Aaron Huffnagle, extending Fresno's lead to 3-1 and helping spark a five-goal period that put the game firmly out of reach.

Moskal continued to create opportunities, assisting on Koch's second goal before providing the helper on his hat-trick goal in the final minute of regulation.

When the final horn sounded, Moskal had recorded one goal and four assists for five points, earning Second Star of the Game recognition.

His performance offered a memorable example of the passion for hockey that helped bring the Falcons back to the Central Valley.

Ten Combined Points, One Dominant Victory

What made Saturday's performances particularly impressive was the connection between Koch and Moskal.

The pair combined for four goals and six assists, totaling 10 points, and repeatedly found ways to create scoring opportunities against Oceanside.

Moskal assisted on all three of Koch's goals, playing a direct role in the forward's hat trick.

Their production was part of a larger offensive explosion that saw Fresno score nine unanswered goals after Oceanside briefly tied the game in the first period.

The Falcons finished with a remarkable 67-32 advantage in shots on goal and scored four times on the power play.

Houston Wilson added two goals, while Colten, Benson, Finstrom and Justin Daly also found the scoresheet with goals.

The victory followed Fresno's 6-2 Halloween Spooktacular win at Selland Arena on Friday, giving the Falcons 16 goals across the weekend while allowing just three.

For Koch and Moskal, their five-point performances provided individual highlights in a weekend defined by Fresno's collective offensive success.

A Memorable Chapter in the Falcons' Return

The Falcons' return to professional hockey has already produced memorable moments, from the organization's record-setting home opener to outstanding individual performances throughout October.

Saturday night's victory added another chapter to that growing story.

For Koch, the five-point outing reinforced his value as an offensive contributor capable of making an impact in multiple ways.

For Moskal, the performance carried additional significance, as the owner and CEO who helped bring professional hockey back to Fresno contributed directly to one of the team's most decisive victories of the young season.

Together, their performances helped the Falcons close October with a 6-1-0 record and momentum heading into November.
